I recently had the chance to trial some workout apparel for a Sydney based company – Keep Sweatin’. Read on to find out what I thought and for an exclusive Rachel’s Runners discount shopping code.
Amira Workout Crop Tights – $49 RRP
Description: These tights are made from a black supplex fabric with a coloured side panel of either bright pink or bright blue. They have a thick feel about them which means they are not transparent or ‘see through’ as others can be. This fabric is very supportive and keeps everything firm and ‘in place’.
The Amira Workout Crop Tights do not have a drawstring in the waist which I know some people like, but they do have a wide waistband which I believe takes away the need for a drawstring.
The tights come in black with either a bright blue or bright pink side panel down each leg. They also have the company logo on the front right hip as well as the words ‘Keep Sweatin’ along the top back of the waistband which I think looks great.
Verdict: I wore these tights during a strength workout and also during a 6km run and they were great throughout both sessions. They did not fall down (which happens often for me, particularly when running) and sat firm on my hips without moving at all. I did not have to stop and pull them up or adjust in any way. They felt very comfortable and firm. I did not feel hot in them as you may expect a thicker fabric to make you feel. I particularly like the fact that in comparison to some other brands, these tights a very reasonably priced at $49AUD. I definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a new pair of stylish and functional workout/running tights.
Amira Workout Singlet – $29 RRP
Description: Again, this singlet is made from a very supportive fabric that really holds you in. It has a built in shelf/crop bra and a key hole cut out design in the front.
The Amira Workout Singlet comes in bright blue or bright pink to perfectly match the side leg panel of the Amira Workout Crop tights.
It has the words ‘Keep Sweatin’ across the top of the shoulders at the back which again is a cute addition.
Verdict: I really like the design of this top, particularly the cute cut out section in the front and the ‘Keep Sweatin’ logo across the back. The colour is also a positive for me and the fact it’s a perfect match to the tights is also a factor I like. I am not generally a fan of workout tops with built in shelf/crop bras as I rarely find them supportive enough to rely on without some kind of other bra underneath. However, I did try this top without and it was so firm and kept everything nicely in place, therefore it’s a winner in that department also. As with the tights, the price of $29AUD is extremely reasonable for a supportive and colourful addition to your workout apparel collection.
I would like to say a huge thanks to Keep Sweatin’ for allowing me to trial their great workout gear!
